Research has found that when used for protection of the face, silk is the most effective at preventing the penetration and absorption of water droplets. This characteristic, coupled with its breathability, means that silk also does not irritate the skin or increase local humidity around the face beneath it, even with multiple layers, making it suitable for prolonged wear, and avoiding accidental stimulation of face touching.

Face coverings made of 100% washed silk repel water just as effectively as other heavy-duty masks, but are hydrophobic, unlike the latter, and are ready for immediate reuse by washing.

We are greatly aware and mindful of the need for the supply of silk barrier masks. We are now in a position to make and supply silk barrier masks in house, mail order and online.

The masks are comprised of a double layer of 100% silk satin (19 momme)

The Chateau and Rose barrier masks have a wire nose piece and ear adapters.

Washing Instructions:

• machine washable in 60 degrees
• hand wash in hot soapy water
• drip dry
• steam / hot iron ( do not iron elastic ties)
