A Legacy of Silk Sourcing
The core of our business – importing and selling exquisite silks – has remained unchanged for over 40 years. Beginning from humble origins in a small shop at her home, Roisin Cross dedicated herself to sourcing the finest fabrics for the Irish market in the 1980s.
Today, we continue to uphold the relationships Roisin established with trusted suppliers. We still source our silks from the same reputable manufacturers in China, India, and Thailand.
Each year, Judith travels to the Far East to hand-pick the finest silks for Ireland’s discerning market. Every selection is made with care, ensuring the finest prints and designs are chosen. We then reference these colours to Pantone, the universal colour language, to ensure accurate communication of our needs. These precise colours are then created specifically for Roisin Cross Silks.
Trend forecasting plays an integral role in our decision-making process. While trends evolve, the foundation of our collection is always based on the needs and lifestyles of our customers – an understanding we've developed over the years. Our commitment to quality, however, remains constant, ensuring that each fabric meets the highest standards.

Memories from Our Travels to the Far East
Throughout the years, we've been fortunate enough to witness the intricate silk-making process firsthand.
Every visit deepens our appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into each fabric we sell. Our photos offer a glimpse behind the scenes, showcasing the exceptional skill involved in creating our luxurious fabrics, available at our Dublin showroom.
In the video below, we share a special montage of our 2017 trip to visit our Indian suppliers. Watch as the silk strands are dyed, colour-checked, and expertly woven to create the high-quality materials we offer. Seeing the intricate patterns and prints come to life in front of your eyes gives a true understanding of the process – from cocoon to couture.
